Please request a quote to start a custom pattern or gown order! Once I receive the details of your request, I will quote how many labor hours it will take. My labor rate is $50 per hour.
Most patterns take 1 to 4 hours. Difficult patterns are 5 to 8 hours, complex patterns are over 8 hours. Clothing lines typically exceed 40 hours and are eligible for wholesale pricing! I also offer pattern grading (sizing)! I also have a digitizer to import your existing garment or pattern to work from. Printing Information: There are 2 options for receiving your custom pattern: 1- PDF files for each pattern or size. OR 2- I can have them printed for you and sent in the mail. To print them on your own. You'll need at the very least, a 36 inch, wide-format printer. If you choose to have your pattern emailed to you, you are responsible for printing the pattern correctly and to scale. Printing and shipping will be included in your quote. Shipping Information: Small patterns are folded and sent in a legal size Priority Mail envelope $6.65 to 6.95. Larger patterns and multi-page patterns cannot fold nicely and will be rolled and sent in a 37" tube $12-$25. This mailing service goes by weight so the cost will vary depending on the weight of your order. For International shipping, Priority mail prices start at $32.95. Other information and services: If you would like a muslin fitting sample (toile / mock-up), let me know and I will include this in your quote. A fit sample will not have any closures or hem finishing, it's a basic version of your garment in cheap cotton fabric to double check fit. This is not always needed. If you are working with really expensive fabric or if the design is complex, I would suggest a fit sample. It cuts down on time sewing the final version, allows for more design development and ensure the final version fits impeccably. Custom patterns are great for designers and seamstress/tailors, clothing lines, sample lines, and wedding gowns. If you'd like me to make the pattern and the garment let me know if you have the fabric or what fabrics you'd like (I have lots of sources for fabric and supplies), and whether or not you want a lining or other details. |
